Claudia Pentony Black focuses her practice on Alternative Dispute Resolution and Estate Planning and Administration, including serving in the roles of Trustee and Fiduciary. She is also currently active in Commercial Real Estate, including in the areas of leasing, building maintenance, and financing transactions.
Claudia is a qualified Mediator for the Montgomery County Bar Association Program where she also serves on the Mediation and Women in Law Committees. Her role as mediator benefits from her litigation background including as former senior trial counsel to a large multi-line insurance company, where she directed matters arising from automobile and premises negligence, products liability and fire/casualty loss. Claudia has served as an arbitrator on behalf of insurance companies in negligence actions and she continues to volunteer in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas alternative dispute resolution program. Claudia is also a Volunteer Mediator for the City of Philadelphia’s Eviction Diversion Program which has been recognized as a national model providing alternatives for landlords and tenants to keep tenants in their homes and avoid costly and drawn-out court proceedings.
Claudia is active in community affairs, including as an officer of non-profit entity boards and religious charitable organizations.
