Stephen B. Edwards focuses his practice on matters involving insurance insolvency, regulation, and related litigation. He has experience with all aspects of civil litigation, from pleadings to appeals and has argued multiple cases before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court, and numerous Pennsylvania Courts of Common Pleas. His practice background in civil rights matters informs his deep familiarity with the federal court system, where he often litigates in matters related to insurance receiverships.
Stephen supplements his practice with deeper study of the law. He has published articles in The Pennsylvania Bar Association Quarterly, The Pennsylvania Lawyer, and The Philadelphia Lawyer. Stephen has also taught a Continuing Legal Education (CLE) course hosted by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute regarding decisions issued by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court in 2023 and 2024 that will impact the work of the Pennsylvania General Assembly.
Outside the law, Stephen enjoys reading, light exercise, and exploring the cultural life of Philadelphia.
