Benjamin Isser has over seven years of litigation experience and is a member of Black & Gerngross’ complex civil litigation team where he brings multi-disciplinary trial and appellate experience to business and regulatory disputes.
Prior to joining the firm, Ben was a litigator at a Philadelphia-based law firm where he represented consumers and other injured parties in state and federal courts throughout the country, pursuing complex class action and mass tort cases against the nation’s largest pharmaceutical manufacturers, financial institutions, technology companies, and insurance firms. His work spanned all phases of litigation at both the trial and appellate level, including multiple appearances before the Pennsylvania Supreme and Superior Courts.
While in law school, Ben served as an associate editor of the law review and co-authored an article examining the current state of work product protection between attorneys and experts following the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s decision in Barrick v. Holy Spirit Hospital. Ben also received the CALI award for highest grade point average in his first-year torts class and was subsequently selected to serve as a Dean’s Scholar, where he provided supplemental instruction to first year torts students. While a third-year law student, he worked as a law clerk at Kline & Specter, P.C., where he was a member of a trial team in the Risperdal mass tort action.
